Angel Perez, an 11th-grader at Capistrano Valley High in California, won the Division 2 boys junior 3-mile race in 15:44.6 at the 48th Dana Hills Nike Invitational at Dana Hills High in Dana Point. Perez helped Capistrano Valley achieve the team victory as well by a 60-93 margin over Portola High.
